Was it a guy? I really wasn't sure. I thought maybe it was just a very unattractive female, but I thought Japanese. I was ready to take him/her/it out myself.

I was actually on the balcony this time (booooo!!), that was partly because it was so rammed downstairs, and partly because I wouldn't have been able to see anything from the back of the crowd anyway! From up there it was easy to spot all the knobheads, and there were plenty! A fair few of them were actually facing AWAY from the band, and were just in a circle, pushing each other about, and at that point, I actually felt glad to be on the balcony, as being anywhere near that would have pissed me off big time! I never go down the front at London gigs anymore, after a few unpleasant experiences that spoilt my enjoyment a bit in the past.

Gotta say, although I had a fab view on the balcony, the atmosphere and the folk up there just weren't the same (except for Goss, who was also up there). I think there was only really me and Dominic actually joining in with the clapping/jumping/singing along... well, me more than Dominic Dominic enjoyed this gig more, as he could still hear after the gig!

If I go to any London gigs in the future, it looks like I'll be on the balcony with the "Mother Fuckers", rather than on the floor with the "Crazy Bastards"! lol

He was going crazy and pissing off just about everyone down at the front, and when a couple of people grabbed him to restrain him he started flailing around and screaming. I seem to remember currymonster sorting him out, cheers for that!
I was up on the first balcony and saw the twat! He caused mayhem for a while, but did have a few 'slaps' in the process and ended up on his arse a few times. He then proceeded to push everyone on his way out, and had a few more 'slaps' before eventually leaving through one of the side doors.

Quite glad I was up on the balcony, had a great view just to the right of the mixing desk. The days of pushing my way down the front are well and truly gone.

I was on the balcony to the right of the mixing desk leaning on one of the railings.

I do take your point on the atmosphere, but it doesn't mean people weren't enjoying it. I was leaning on the railings and I didn't really want to spoil the view of the people behind by jumping around too much. The balcony isn't graduated so people wouldn't be able to see as well.

At gigs I tend to go in the seats anyway as I hate being shoved about and having to fight my way through people to go to the bog!)

I do sing along, clap etc, but I love just taking in the whole gig. Just because I don't dance like a maniac, body slam and stage dive doesn't mean I don't enjoy it!

You must have been close to me then lionessheart as I was just to the right of the desk as well.

I have the same view as you, trying to take everything in and not dancing like an idiot, to old for that now anyway.

I didn't say people didn't enjoy it - I was merely giving my opinion/feelings on being on the balcony, and the different atmosphere up there, when I am used to being right down at the barrier. As for not spoiling the view of the people behind, I say bollocks to 'em! lol They are there to see a band, not to watch a film. Besides, at 4ft 10in, no matter how high I jump, I'm unlikely to get in anyone's way That said, plenty of taller people are inconsiderate towards me at gigs, and block my view and push me about with no qualms... but then, I like to be down on the floor, so that's my own fault
