Best Saxon album?

To me Saxon's last 7 studio album dating back to Dogs Of War are the band's best albums,I've heard alot of people say they like modern day Saxon over the 80's but I do respect those who favor Strong Arm and Denim too,its all about Saxon,they are absolutely amazing.

INTO THE LABYRINTH is a cool Album, of course!!! I love UNLEASH THE BEAST very much, the first Album with DOUG SCARRATT!! DOGS OF WAR is amazing, too!!!

So hard to decide on Saxon's best album, so many good one's, its a matter of personal choice. For me, to be put on the spot I'd pick two, Wheels of Steel and The Inner Sanctum, best of old and new.

It's hard to pick Saxon's best album because it's like pickin between two favourite bands;' old Saxon stuff and new Saxon stuff. From the old stuff, I think Strong Arm Of The Law is their best album, with Dallas 1PM being the best track on it. Obviously we all love the old Saxon stuff, these songs set the bar for all their newer work. My favourite of the newer albums would be Metalhead, even though my favourite new track is Witchfinder General from Lionheart. Saxon's best live album to date has to be The Eagle Has Landed 2, which is a great production.

Although it is hard to pick just one, I'd say "Strong Arm of the Law", while Wheels of Steel the close second. The band is still making some solid albums in the new millenium but, in my opinion, none of them can match the raw, raunchy sound of rock & roll in the 80-81 albums.

Boy that Strong Arm Of The Law is a classic alright,what an album,I can see why its your favorite.

all strong releases,but youve got to admit it takes b@@@s of steel to release crusader,and oh boy did it work well!!

however,when driving home from work at 5am on the misty,desolate roads,i have to crank up wheels of steel.

I always find myself going back to the 1st album as i got it straight after mates recommended them when they supported Motorhead on the Bomber tour and i loved it then and still do now 30 odd years later. However it does not matter what album i have on at the time it will ROCK.
