Nigel Glockler recently told Modern Drummer Magazine that after hearing some demo ideas from Saxon bass player Nibs Carter that the drum possibilities are wide open. He added you might even hear a blast beat for the first time in a Saxon song. ***this is fake news*** or is it?*** This post is just for fun.

Nigel Glockler fired. Nigel Glockler was fired from Saxon for being too inebriated to appear on the Serius radio national rock talk show "Trunk Nation". Eddie Trunk, rock guru, invited Nigel to appear on his nationally broadcast radio show but Nigel did not appear. Host Eddie Truck speculated Nigel was too drunk to remember his invitation at the NAMM show to be a guest on the Trunk Nation talk show. *** fake news *** Some of this is true but Saxon actually gained cred in the rock world for being ROCK-N-ROLL even at the twilight of their career ( some say high point of their career ). Mr. Trunk spent more time discusing the event than an actual interview with Nigel Glockler would have lasted. This was a win for Saxon. Long live rock n roll. Long live Saxon. Ron Smallwood, Iron Maiden manager, reveals the reason why Saxon is not as big as Iron Maiden or Def Leppard. The 8-track tape is the sole differance between Iron Maiden and Def Leppard. Saxon never released any of their albums on 8-track tape. In America that was a huge mistake. There was a whole segment of American kids that didn't have access to Saxon's music. So Saxon's music was not ingrained into their adolescents. This is not a total fault of Saxon but more of their record company and management. Saxon to release TWO new albums. One titled TITANIUM and the other titled ELEMENT 120. Titanium is "light" metal songs. Included are two songs that never appeared on any Saxon studio album. Saxon to release first cover album. Not your typical cover album. This album only contains songs written by women. In this age of "me too" it is very relevant. The album will be called "DARK WOMEN". Of course these songs will be played in the style of Saxon. The SAXON "Dark Women" album. fake news *****fake news))))) Saxon releases CONCEPT ALBUM .......... Biff "yeah , this has been 10 years in the making. No one has ever made an album like this... ha ha maybe for good reason. This concept album is easy to follow. The story is very clear. I don't think any band has ever attemped this idea. We have original lyrics between other artis chorus's. It's a little hard to explain. Saxon has written original verses between other artists choruses. Over the ten years writing this we had to delete 2 or 3 songs because we couldn't get the rights to use them. We did find other songs to use which turned out to be better because we had to dig deep to find the right songs. Part of the reason we couldn't use the song is because the origianl singer was not available to add the vocals or we couldn't secure the right to add it to the comcept album. Yes, you will hear the origial artist that wrote the song or made it famous singing on this album. The running time is nearly 2 hours. We don't have a title for this concept album at this time. Ultimate plan is to make a video of the whole concept album with the origial singers singing their chous's in an non stop videos. #### crazy fake news ######
