I thought exactly the same watching last night's show -- the Saxon episode is shaping up to be the success story of the series! Those radio guys came across as absolutely useless, but now -- knowing what I know about last week's show -- I doubt that they're that bad at all (although I haven't watched the E4 Showdown bit yet -- saving it as a special treat for later!).

What I found most puzzling about the show though is that they said (twice) that it takes four hours to drive from London to Frinton. Can that really be true, or is that only if you go on a one-way trip by motorised buggy? (I spose no one's in too much of a hurry to get there?!)

(XRWoody -- speaking as a former reigning champion on Lennie Bennett's 'Lucky Ladders' (with my mum) I know only too well the black heart of showbiz (!), so I'd love to know what you did on Challenge Anneka. Did it take three weeks instead of the 24 hours they said, or something like that?)

Not for the first time on this forum; I have typed a fairly long reply to Sandinavian101's question and the text has vanished when I pressed the submit button.
I will try again when I have more time.
Sorry.

If it's any consolation that's happened to me a couple of times too -- very annoying especially when you're a slow typist, like me, or put the world to rights and then it all disappears and you can't remember what you said. Does the login time out after a certain time or something? It's a pain, whatever. Thanks for trying though -- look forward to the exposť when you have time!

Spike, I just posted an emotional shouty message like that but it disappeared. That bloody Harvey Goldsmith: I blame him. For everything

I never did follow up on my initial tread start comment. To be honest most people had said what needed to be said!!

Then we get the other thread, that had a pop at the title "Harvey Goldsmith is a............." As I have said before that title was left 'open' so people could decide which way they wanted to air their views. Yes! It was hoped it would be a passionate thread, and has proved to be just that!

My conclusion on this is in message form to all parties -

Harvey - Thanks for putting my fave band on prime time telly as they did'nt come out of it too bad and showed people they are true to themselves and their fans. Hopefully past fans will realise that Saxon are putting out material to rival those early 80's classics and want to check the band out again. Thanks for the free gig at Lincoln also, Yes Harv! I got in!

Saxon- Cheers boys for another great album, I see you live every year, so I also witness your audience is growing again, with fans new and old.
As for recording in cabbage fields in Boston, that studio has produced two of your finest albums to date in Lionheart & Inner Sanctum! So if it take's eating curry, farting, laying around looking at porn mags as mentioned on the programme, please don't change its a good thing!! You are on the up again!

Classic Rock Mag- You should be fucking ashamed of yourselves! Sending someone down to the E4 programme with little or no research on the band. The Lincoln review was ok but you can do a lot more, and you know it!!
Saxon you should respect and support for fucks sake "Get your act together"

I'm now bored with all this Harvey G shit! Looking forward to the UK leg of the tour, which will be by no means 'pedestrian'

Saxonized, that is a great response, and in some respects I hope it closes this chapter.

Amen brother

(See you in London and Nottingham )
