Really looking forward to tomorrow night. Dinnae ken why rock bands play the garage with its 10 o'clock curfew. I saw Saxon play the Liquid Rooms in Glasgow a few years back and that had an early curfew too. I don't think the band knew though, as they were furious they were told they could not come on for their encore. Worth seeing though for when the drummer (Glockler or Michael? - can't remember) while up on stage gave a two finger salute to the management. Classic!
Hope the band know about the early finish this time and maybe come on early. |

If they have got 2 support bands in tow then Saxon will only get an hour - no doubt about that as the curfew is applied very strictly (WASP had only just warmed up when they had to go off!!) The Solid Rock closes at midnight, which is also a bit early, but there's always the Cathouse if you don't mind being surrounded by teenagers - it's open til about 3am I think and is just the other side of Central Station from the Solid Rock so not far to stagger. |

Not sure Sammi - I've been to the Garage a few times but have never bothered taking a camera. I'm gonny take mine anyway and if they take it off me, they will give us it back at the end of the concert. A lot of places like SECC and Clyde Auditorium used to be quite strict about cameras but I was at Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy 2 weeks ago and was allowed to stand right at the front of the barrier AND MY PHOTOS ARE ABSOLUTELY MINDBLOWING. Same as Paul Rodgers at Clyde Auditorium, again right at front of barrier and took brill pics. Not so long ago you weren't even allowed to take any photos there, let alone stand at the barrier!!!! I'm seeing Meat Loaf tonight but not gonny bother taking camera cos its not standing tickets I've got, its seated ones, so not going to be that close to the stage. I'm gonny brassneck it though and try and sweet-talk my way into the standing area.
Yip Solid Rock closes at midnight - the Cathouse is guff I hate it unless a good band is playing - Rockers is really near to the Solid and its open till 3 as well. |

Someone better tell Saxon that they will have to finish at 10pm - I want way more than an hour of hearing Saxon thats for sure. If we have to miss the support bands, well I dont think many folk will be that bothered lol!!!!!
Same as Anj-Sans I saw Saxon at Liquid Rooms and they had to get off the stage really quickly, didn't even get to hear 747 or And The Bands Played On - bloody outrageous!!!! |

Yeah! Rockers is way better than the Cathouse. The bands are usually really good too. If you're really lucky the band No Dice will be playing. One of the best cover bands I've seen.
