Default 05.11.1984 - my first Saxon show!

and it was with Motley Crue!
What a crazy show that was.
I have to be honest when I say I knew of the band but didn't KNOW the band if you know what I mean! After that night I certainly became a fan!
It was at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago also commonly referred to as the Aragon Brawlroom in these parts! Ha! I believe the band Heavy Pettin was also on the bill and suffered through sound problems during much of their set. I also seem to remember the Saxon and Crue fans fighting a lot as well as lighting each others banners on fire! Ahhhh, those were the days.
Since then I've seen Saxon on the 70K Cruise and in St. Charles when they came through on the last album.
If anyone knows the set list from that night I would love to see it!

I wish I had my ticket stubs from back in the day. I grew up in a small town 60 miles from the nearest concert hall. It was hard for us kids to make the trip so I'd give my concert stubs to kids that couldn't be there.

Default Small town

I also grew up in a small town in Michigan, concerts were 1 and 2 hours away. While in the Military in Germany I had the opportunity to see some shows. That is really cool that you gave your stubs to less fortunate.
