Saxon - The EMI Years

Further to Matt's thread about the release of Saxon - The Carrere Years (4 Disc Box Set) which is due early April there is now scheduled for release Saxon - The EMI Years (4 Disc Box Set). This one is due in June.

I know it means we are getting the early albums released again but for completists like me, thought some of you might be interested.

Lets just hope now (as we've spoken about before) that we get the CBH/SPV Years. That'll be well worth it.

Did anyone note with the emi issue of innocence when released the bonus track back on the streets club mix was actually the extended mix which is a very different beast.

Yes my friend,having both the 12" singles still they clearly are very different,it really sticks in my mind as i had a conversation with the person who did the club mix that was our nigel

Yeah I've got extended and club mix singles as well but I never noticed the error on the CD. Will go back and have a listen.

Here is the back cover of The Carrere Years (excuse quality, just found it online).

I understand why it has been done, but it does seem a shame that in an attempt to keep costs down that you end up splitting one album across two discs, perhaps I'm being too picky. I'm still looking forward to getting both sets.

Mind you, the amount I'm already spending on Saxon stuff this year I'm going to have to get a second mortgage
