Very good song, although i prefer them doing their classic fast Saxon metal rather than ac/dc style hard rock.
anyone agree with me on this one?

I do agree with you. I like Live to Rock, but I prefer the faster tunes with darker themes.

Yeah I agree 100%. My favourite side of Saxon is the more creative, metal-like stuff, such as "State of Grace", "Lionheart" or "Man and Machine".

Not a fan of this song. Maybe it's just me but I'm personally sick of all the cheesy 'rock' songs Saxon are still doing. It was ok in the 80's but nowadays they need to cut it out in my opinion.

I MUCH, MUCH prefer their deeper/darker songs. Stuff like Unleash The Beast, Metalhead, Conquistador, State Of Grace, Dogs Of War, Lionheart, Man & Machine, etc...

I've Got To Rock was the weakest track on Inner Sanctum and it ruined it from being a classic metal album for me.

Sorry for the negative opinion. I am a big Saxon fan and they are one of my fav bands but I just wish they'd leave the 'got to rock' songs to AC/DC.

Got to admit that I felt that way at first, but it's grown on me. I thought that the structure of the verses was very laboured as if they were trying to make the lyrics fit - reminds me of some of the "Forever Free" stuff in that respect.

Much prefer the club version.

Forgive me for not noticing, but what is the difference between the 2 versions?

I agree that the darker stuff is what they need to keep on doing.
I personally really like the more recent hard rock songs like 'got to rock' and 'live to rock' , but the reason why Lionheart is probably the best album is because it is a non stop metal assault

I must admit, i prefer the faster / heavyer stuff myself, rather than the slower DC type riffing stuff.
