Default My mate Worcester

Ok, not really appropiate, but just letting out a bit of emotion really, some of you may or may not know, i had a dog Worcester (Wolly or Bear), through a bit of controversay about 3 years ago i won the "Call to Arms" picture, sadly 2 weeks ago he had cancer and he was having a biopsy done, and the cancer was rapid so we decided to let him sleep, when i used to take him out, i brought him a Saxon bandana and we would put it on him, so he was known as the Saxon dog, i miss him so much, and i am just been a silly chap...

Sorry for wasting a post..but hey as they say it is good to talk...take care one and all

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that. The loss of a pet is always devastating. It's like losing a best friend.

So true. My dog Paige passed away last year. I really miss her. She was the best dog I've ever had.

Lionheart747 be thankful of the time you had with him.

I've always had dogs in my life, still have one now. My current dog had a small stroke about a year ago; he's lucky to still be here, especially at age 10, but he's made an amazing recovery aside from a very slight bit of paralysis on one side of his face. We thought he was a goner, but the vet we've always taken our pets to is an amazing believer in doing everything before suggesting putting down and he helped keep him here for however long he has left. It's when you get that close to losing them that you realize what they mean to you.

In short, showing emotion at the loss of a treasured pet is not "silly" by any means, they become your best friends and members of your family, and when they go they take a tiny piece of you with them. But after the hurt fades you only remember the good times and the laughs they provide, and that's what matters.

You did not waste a post and your not being silly, everyone here accepts everyone here, we all have someone we love, being human or animal.

Loosing a beloved pet is painful and my thoughts and pairs are with you and your dog
