Default Solid Ball, Forever Free, Dogs of War Reissues

I saw last night, completely by accident, that on the 18th March Edsel Records are to reissue Saxon's albums 'Solid Ball Of Rock', 'Forever Free' and 'Dogs Of War. They do appear to include new liner notes from Biff, but will have to see if they differ in any other ways. Here is the link. Just scroll down and you will see the individual album links

I wish they'd reissue Dogs Of War on vinyl.

I just placed an order (on ebay) for Edsel's VINYL reissue of Solid Ball Of Rock. I'm on board with this company. From the email I got from them it sounds hopeful for reissues of Dogs Of War, The Eagle Has Landed 2 and 3 etc. on vinyl too.

Default Surprised

I'm surprised there's been so little talk about the Edsel remastered reissues.

Has anyone heard them? What are your thoughts?

They sound great price was good. Standerd single disc jewel case . Its lacking in bonus tracks oonly two per album and the sleeve notes are nearly identical for each album

How can they call the "Solid Ball of Rock" vinyl "audiophile edition" when it has two bonus tracks, but is still a single disc? Everyone knows that the longer the record, the worse the sound - even if it's a 180 g vinyl. I'd definitely look for the original vinyl instead.

I bought a copy but haven't opened it so I can't say anything about the sound quality. I do know that "180 gram" is a buzz word for hipsters. They'll over pay for that shit. Personally to me 180 gram means you have a 50% chance of the vinyl being warped or noisy. I hope someone will reissue Dogs Of War. Resently a Night Of The Vinyl Dead LP version sold for $300 USD.
