I've said for years Moonchild would be an unbelievable cover version for a metal band to do....

I was luck enough to see Rory a couple of times in the mid-late 70s. Skipped pm school in 74(?) to go to the West End. Brilliant gig-he is recieving the acclaim long due to him.
People talk about great Guitarists and Rory was certainly up there with the best.

Yes, I saw him once.
Like to many others he passed away much to early. We will keep his music alive!

i adore rory! he is my favorite artist next to queen. i have all his officially released dvds and i'm gonna buy his new 2012 album remasters (which have original mix and artwork, '99 remasters were slightly remixed and suffer from loudness war). i thought there already was a topic about rory, if i knew there wasn't i would surely open it. unfortunately i was too young to see him live, when he died in '95 i was 12. listen to this killer version of shadow play from reading '80, no wonder punks and metalheads loved him, his music was always honest, from the heart and pure energy.

no problem. here are some others very interesting links, irish president was recently given framed photography of rory and phil lynott.

it says it's the only photograph taken of them both but that's not true.

on this day in rory history taste played with black sabbath
4/9/70 Taste/Black Sabbath/Dogg - Mayfair Ballroom

imagine being there, both bands were hungry and on the verge of making it, unfortunately it wasn't meant to be for taste cos they broke a few months later.
