Sweden Rock was indeed a phenomenal show.

It was gratifying to see the band play a huge outdoor show and be fully appreciated, I actually think it was a mistake on the organisers part not to have Saxon on the larger Festival Stage(with screens!) as they were easily one of the most watched bands of the weekend.

There were also more Saxon shirts on peoples backs than any other band(maybe Motorhead,Kiss and Maiden got near)

Also Kudos for having the nouse to sell XXXL T Shirts, it meant I could buy merchandise that fits!!

Other highlights of the festival were Ratt, Poison, Ace Frehley, Airbourne(go see 'em!) and new Swedish hopefuls H.E.A.T (their debut CD is a MUST if you like melodic hard rock)

It was my first Sweden Rock, and I'm deffo going back next year as long as the line up is halfway decent!

Saw my 11th Kiss gig in Copenhagen the night beofre the start of Sweden Rock, and they were truly appalling, they are destroying what legacy they had left!

A friend of mine, Óscar Sancho, singer in Lujuria, a major spanish heavy metal band, has just arrived from Sweden and this is what he's posted in http://www.mariskalrock.com, one of the most important spanish HM webpages:
"Thais quería ver a MINISTRY y estaba decidido a acompañarla tras algunos temas de SAXON pero… imposible de todo punto. Saxon se salieron pero mucho, ¡menudo conciertazo! Llevaban su mítico águila, soltaron todos los clásicos que quería oír… arrasaron sin duda."
"Thais (a friend) wanted to see MINISTRY and I was going to go with her after some Saxon songs but... it was absolutely impossible!. Saxon went beyond the normal (they broke the mold?), what a show! They had their mythical eagle, played all the hits I wanted to hear... no doubt they set it on fire."
He's a real headbanger, living metal day by day, and, besides I use to share my opinion with him, this is a great description of what a Saxon show is!
