Just out of interest, on one of my Saxon searches on the net a few months back I found the following images on a blog that is no longer updated. I'm not sure how 'official' they were, and if they were, if they ever got beyond the planning stage but apparently were planned for release around 2003. Some of the pairings seem a little odd but Wheels/Strong Arm pairing did get a release, obviously with slightly different artwork and the Killing Ground/Re-recorded Classics got a Spec Edition release. Would still have been interesting (to me at least)!!

Please also excuse the quality of the images, they are the only ones I've been able to find. Of course they could have been completely unofficial. Have you ever seen them before?

I have a couple of these albums, I'll have to look tonight but I think I have one or two that you don't have pictured. I also have the one with the BBC Sessions because at the time I couldn't find the full version of the BBC Sessions album anywhere (this version only has like the first 6 songs off that album). If I remember right, they were made in Russia, but I really don't know anything beyond that regarding these albums.

Thanks, I would be interested to see pics of those. I already have all the albums pictured but not with that artwork or in that 2 disc format.

Ha, guess I should've looked closer at your picture, because you DO have a picture of all three that I have. I have the Metalhead/BBC Seesions one, the Dogs of War/Eagle has Landed Part 2 (vol 2), the Unleash the Beast/Champions of Rock.

Each release is just 1 disc, so for example on the Metalhead/BBC Sessions one it's the full Metalhead album but then just the first 7 songs off BBC Sessions. So the 2nd "album" on the ones I have is always just a truncated version of the original due to the constraints of one CD. On the back they all say "AGAT Company Ltd E-MAIL: weles@rinet.ru" and then a bunch of what I assume is Russian lettering.

Thanks very much for that

They were all released for sale in the Russian Federation. I have sent you a PM with some more info about them that I've dug up
