Wasn't too impressed when I first head the title song, but now I love it. Devils Footprint is brilliant. The Queen of Hearts is a grower. For some reason it reminds me of The Battle of Evermore by Zeppelin.

Destroyer is also great. Kingdom of the Cross took a few plays. Biff's imagery in both Eye of the Storm and Top of the World are fantastic

All in all it's a really enjoyable album. The whole band sound great, especially Nigel

Great album.

Kingdom of the Cross is my absolute fave so far. It's something a little different and it really works. Love Biffs voice when he sings more softly (Absent Friends, Sea of Life, etc).

Cool

Good album. Listened to it twice. Interesting time-changes and tastefull use of keyboards. Queen of hearts I didn't like at first, but now I think it's ok. My favourites so far: The devil's footprint, Hard and fast, Stand your ground, To the end.
I read that in Kingdom of the cross was no guitar, just bass, drums, keyboards and vocals, but I certainly heard subtle guitar notes and also a little solo.

Listened to the album around 10 times now and really like it. Best tracks for me are Battering Ram, The Devils's Footprint, Destroyer, Stand Your Ground & Top of the World.

It's flooding in Texas and the power is out. Thank the metal gods for the Crosley Revolution battery powered turntable, JBL Clip speaker and Saxon's new album Battering Ram.

You should be playing Stevie Ray Vaughan Texas Flood!

Cool

Great cd with the title song, Destroyer and Top of the world as top 3 I think. But in my world a little step back from the fantastic Sacrifice...
