Only this from www.tobyjepson.com (Ex Little Angels, Narrator of Heavy Metal Thunder the Movie):

Blog 18th Feb:

I am currently working towards some very exciting stuff: The Saxon record has just completed and is sounding fantastic to my ears. They have pulled out all the stops to write and perform their best album in years in my opinion. The songs are simple and direct but above all as full of British power and attack as they have always been, the only difference this time is that they are once again being regarded as one of the best bands of their kind in the world today with a massive world tour looming and anticipation growing from their army of fans around the world. I urge you all to go see them live and get a copy of the record when it comes out. The record is to to be called ' Call to arms' and should be out in May

Blog 27th Jan:

Going into the new year I have plenty going on that is very exciting. I have just begun work as co-producer on the new SAXON record. I am doing it in collaboration with Biff and the band and we are recording at Chapel studio right through the new year. I am really chuffed about this as it brings me full circle; the first band I got into was Saxon! My brother bought 'wheels of steel' the single, but it wasn't long before I had stolen it and then bought the album! To end up working with the band is a dream come true and I am certain we will come out with a cool sounding record...watch this space.

Two tracksb from th enew album will feature in the new Noel Clarke film

Blabbermouth reports that the British heavy metal legends have written two tracks for the forthcoming film Hybrid Theory, starring Noel Clarke (Kidulthood), Martin McCann (Killing Bono, Clash Of The Titans), Martin Compston (Disappearance Of Alice Creed), Craig Conway (Descent, Dog Soldiers, Doomsday) and directed by James Erskin (One Night in Turin). Shooting will begin in June this year.

The tracks will be featured on Saxon's new album, Call To Arms, and have been written specially for the film.

Hybrid Theory follows a group of British soldiers who find themselves in a life or death battle with an enemy beyond their wildest nightmares.

Hybrid Theory producer Lionel Hicks sums up the collaboration: "It's great to have a band like SAXON involved in the soundtrack to this film. These new songs really capture the mood of the film, and everyone working on it is thrilled."

Was hoping the album would be released before the tour, like to get to know the songs before hearing them live, bit disappointed

Most bands I've seen lately have been touring in advance of their new albums, Motorhead started their UK tour with a 'The World is Yours' backdrop and two new songs in the set two months in advance of the album's UK release.

That happened with 'labyrinth' when they toured with motorhead. they played hellcat and live to rock before the album was out.
