My god!!, where to start

I would certainly like to hear them give 'Fast As A Shark' a go but there are so many possibilities. I loved what they did with 'Court Of The Crimson King' so it would also be good to hear some perhaps less obvious choices getting the Saxon treatment.

Funnily enough I've also been looking at this the other way round recently. I have both Tribute to Saxon albums but just about all the bands on those are smaller or unknowns. I think it's about time some of the bigger and more well known bands did a proper tribute to Saxon as has been done for so many other bands, especially as many cite them as an influence.

I know tribute/ cover albums are not everyones cup of tea but I would love to see a high profile tribute album released.

A difficult one, they should not do a cover of an album or a single artist/band, they should do something like Def Leppard did with "Yeah!" - I know not many people liked it but I must admit that I liked it a lot, especially their cover of ELO's 10538 Overture, Saxon if they did a cover album, in my view will be given mixed reception from fans.

They should do some prog rock covers (since Biff was brought up on Prog) and any other songs/pieces they like, however they themselves must be highly critical of their own covers and think hard if they should have done it or not.

Somebody to Love - Jefferson Airplane. (I've been saying it for two years now) I totally think Biff could pull it off.

Interesting choice. I certainly think this sort of song would be a better option if they ever were to do another cover or indeed a covers album/ bonus disc of covers. If you look at the cover choices they have made in the past they certainly haven't been obvious ones (apart from the Priest track which was for a tribute album)

I would certainly prefer less obvious songs rather than an a collection of Motorhead/Priest/Sabbath covers etc etc. They could do those in their sleep. I think it's more challenging to take a different type of song and make it your own!
