Default The Quireboys as special guests

The Quireboys are thrilled to announce that we will be joining Saxon as Special Guests on their upcoming UK Tour on all dates except Dublin and Belfast..... More information to follow - 2013 is going to be a big one!!

Wow, like if Saxon wasn't enough. The Quireboys, one of my absolute favourite bands. What does it actually take to finally get me to England....

No doubt that the Quireboys are great live. Been seeing them for the best part of 20yrs, but this is a slightly odd decision. Personally I would have prefered to see homegrown metal bands, maybe Primitai, Conquest of Steel, Dark Forest or Iron Knights etc, especially as the new Saxon album is a loud and proud statement of true, honest, balls out metal.

Still, they will be enjoyable and a good start to the gig. Not everybodys cup of tea i'm sure but we'll see

I like it a bit more metal to be honest so no big loss for me that they will not be playing Belfast. Every other time in belfast saxon have brought great support acts - masterplan - doro - hamerfall. This is the usual thing for Ireland the support band dont come over and we get a local band which aint great but in this case im not too put out.

i thought it was an unusual choice too as i was hoping for a newish band but nevermind, its up to saxon who gets it i guess i dont mind the quireboys at all as ive seen them about 6 times and quite enjoy them live so its no loss

The Quireboys are awesome do I don't think anyone will be disappointed. They are on the monsters or rock cruise with Saxon. Maybe that's why they were chosen?
