Default St Georges Gig - Set List

Okay Boys and Girls,

It's now nearly 10 am, for us poor unfortunates who had to suffer a 5-0 defeat in the youth cup final and then spent 4 hours at A&E with Dad being rushed to hospital, i believe that i fully deserve and a break down of last night.

Thanks to my friend Fingers for sharing "The Eagle has Landed" with me by mobile phone, and even more the text announcing "Machine Gun", which i believe MUST be played on all gigs for the remainder of the tour ( Please Boys ).

Am sure that most of the Forum will be in a delicate state today ( or i will be disappointed in you all ), but early posting required, and i will be speaking to some of you today.

Cheers All

Mart

Was a great gig, sorry to hear about your unfortunate evening.
Saxon played past the 11 o clock curfew by about 20 minutes.

Songs they played:
new stuff- batallions, demon sweeney todd, letter, valley of the kings, live to rock, hellcat, come rock of ages

old stuff- Ride like the wind (yeah!!!), requiem, strong arm of the law, and the bands played on, machine gun, eagle has landed, motorcycle man, wheels of steel, 747, crusader, princess of the night, never surrender, denim and leather, heavy metal thunder,

interesting one - cover of You've got another thing coming with Doro

Thanks for posting the setlist, looks like an amazing show! Ride Like the Wind and Machine Gun are two great additions to the setlist, and wherever I happen to catch them in the States I sure hope they play Denim and Leather too! Actually, can't complain about any of the tracks here, my only little nit-pick would be the lack of songs from Inner Sanctum. But it must be hard to come up with a setlist when there have so many albums to pick songs from.

Must have been pretty long show to get that many songs in. How long did they play, around 2 hours or so?

They played roughly 2 hours. What is interesting, is that as far as i understood, concerts legally have to finish by 11 o clock, but saxon carried on. Not only that, but when they did princess of the night, they were in no rush to finish, they re-started it twice after playing the whole song through
