Default How to take photos with band members?

How to take photos with band members? Or even a better question: before or after the gig? Is it possible at all?

Get to the venue early - you may be lucky?

Or have a post show beer in the nearest bar to the venue - again you never know what might happen

we just came to the venue 3 hours before the show. Their bus was supposed to come in 30 min. and it did! There were just a few of us and the boys started coming out to us, shook hands, do pictures, sign cds and so on. So it worked for us before the show.

Combine the tips above and its a sure thing. Try turning up abit earlier before the show and if that doesn't work try after the show
A local bar is also a good one.

It's never a gurantee but its definitely fun trying though

Saxon are really good with there fans they always have time for them, so you usually get chance to see them

I have had luck with this but it seemed to revolve around two smaller theaters here in Detroit:

HARPOS: I got to meet Philthy from Motorhead (Lemmy never came out), all of Overkill, Slayer, WASP, Saxon (I had backstage for the Crusader tour-I worked for a record store at the time), Suicidal Tendencies, Anthrax, Dee Dee Ramone-RIP, Lacuna Coil (OMG is Christina beautiful), had a beer with Jason Newsted when he was with Flotsam & Jetsam.

STATE THEATER: Social Distortion, The Cult, Joey Ramone (He wouldn't let me take his picture-RIP), Slash and Duff from GnR when they opened for the Cult.

*I met all of them outside the venue either 2 hours before the doors opened or at least an hour after the show(s).

As soon as I figure out how to attach pictures I will show them....I have a classic with Biff with his arms around my buddy and I.

Riley, you mention Lacuna Coil, I got a funny story. I was outside the Swan in Liverpool having a tab when I saw this dude on his own so I started to talk to him. He was foriegn but spoke very good English and I noticed a "Wacken Artist" tag on him. So I started talking about festivals etc. and then finally asked where he was from and what he was doing here. He said he was from Italy and was playing the Barfly tonight. I ask which band he says, Lacuna Coil, so dickhead here asks, ah you a roadie? No, he says, I'm the bassist. I wanted to shoot me foot but he was so nice he didn't even notice. God I have a habit of saying stupid things me. Are you a roadie.. lordi.

Anyway, it would be nice if I could get them to sign me Union Jack flag. I dunno if they would remember but when I saw them at Hard Rock Hell in 2007 Biff grabbed me bandana and held it up saying, hey this is a cool flag, shame it's a bit small though! Hehehehe.
