Just got back last night ! Believe it or not I actually went with my Father in Law dispatching Mrs Fingers to her sisters in Italy.

To cut a long story short, my F.I.L. went out to SL twice 3 and 6 months after the Tsunami, to help build house's and we went out to do a follow up,see how the people were coping visit some of the friends and charities that he met and people that he sponsors. Also I work for a stationery company and they supplied me with a lot of stationery free of charge that we took to a school that had been completely re-built. It was a very humbling experience, the people are so resilient in the face of such a massive disaster.

We did fit in some sight seeing and tourist bits as well (visited an elephant orphanage amongst other things). Its a beautiful country, with great people, great scenery (not just coastline, but hill areas as well), great food (mostly curry) and of course cheap lager (about 80p for a 625ml bottle ).

Will post some photo's when I can.

Its good to be back though and I did miss Mrs Fingers and the Fingers Hound
