Ok, so I went to the shop today, to see if the next 3 re-issues (D&L, P&G, Crusader) were out, and they were. So I checked them on the headset and they sounded fine, so I bought all 3 for €7.99,...

No worries, I know this album from beginning to end ever since the 80's.
It is not the rain. You can hear it OVER the rain after a little while, but it is almost over the entire first 8 tracks.

EMI issued Wheels Of Steel and Strong Arm Of The Law already as a double remastered cd, back in 1997. The remasters were also done at Abbey Road studios, but apart from that there were no liner notes...
