I like all these albums and I don't think of them as poor at all. Yes, they are different (softer, more pop rock than heavy metal) but the song writing is mostly still great. I could see how people...

A producer is usually the one in charge of the project. Usually bands bring in outside producers to get a different take on the material but there are many bands that do it themselves.

IMO, this album is a real return to form. I found Call To Arms to be really lacking overall (a few standout tracks but a lot of it was a bit ''Saxon by numbers''). I think they tried too hard to go...

I'm probably in the minority here but my fave is Walking The Steel. Absolutely love that main verse riff with the awesome thumping bass line underneath.

Any one else feel that the box is a big let down? I didn't get this edition myself (too pricey for me) but my dad got it and I looked at it and thought it looked a bit cheap. Basically just a shoebox...

I'm hearing distortion on the drum toms and some of the guitar riffs. It's just very loud. If you turn it up loud it hurts the ears after a couple of tracks. But if I put on something like Unleash...

I'd do a better job, that's for sure. This album has no dynamics at all, it's a distorted mess. What makes it worse is these guys (the engineers, not the band themselves) are supposed to be...
