Whats the next gig you're going to?

just thought it'd be interesting to see whats the next gig people are going to! Any band, anywhere!!! My next one will (hopefully) be George Thorogood & the Destroyers at Cambridge. :)

(and it was great!!!)

mnsaxonfan 05-12-2009 07:28 PM

Judas Priest/Whitesnake on July 3rd at Taste of Minnesota is the next concert on my agenda.

toyotaTRD 05-12-2009 07:29 PM

Well it's going to be a busy summer for me :D

I saw Satyricon a few days ago, AC/DC are coming next, then Saxon at our local summer festival (with slipknot/mastodon/down/kylesa/wasp/arch enemy/voivod/motley crue/lita ford among others). I'm also seeing Scorpions, Deep Purple, Heaven and Hell, Blind Guardian, Testament, Gojira during June/July.

I need to go to the bank and get some money for all these tickets :D

Lionheart747 05-12-2009 07:38 PM

AC/DC and Thin Lizzy at Wembley....great thread

skull 05-12-2009 11:56 PM

of hand none. but seen where motorhead are to play belfast in nov. so rang up local ticket office to see if tickets are released yet. they are and there all of 40 quid. shock horror. i asked was there any special quests with them, cuz when they played the same venue 2 years ago it was 20 quid or there about (i think) no she says put it down to the credit crunch ! though things got cheaper not dearer

XRWoody 05-13-2009 09:28 AM

I am a bit financially embarrassed at the moment so have had to knock gigs on the head (although I got a free ticket and taxi ride to see Judas Priest recently).

A mate has kindly funded a ticket to see Black Stone Cherry in Colchester in June so that could well be, not only my next, but maybe my only forthcomming gig this year.

Not includiing the pub bands I regularly go and see of course.

Patte 05-13-2009 01:26 PM

Saxon in Sävsjö.

indeed. ive read on other forums irish motorhead fans crying foul of the pricing of the belfast and dublin gigs. while it might cost the band more to get themselfs and gear over to here. there was never such a huge differance in prices b4.

I have wanted to see them live for ages but never got round to it,so when I saw they were splitting up I thought I better go because it will be my last chance.

I agree, seen Thunder at least four times, Castle Donington 92, Ipswich Regent 92, Monsters Of Rock at Milton Keynes Bowl in 2006 and surporting Purple at Wembley. They always put on a good show and get the crowd going.

XRWoody 05-14-2009 09:24 AM

Jayson; I am guessing we were side by side in Ipswich in 92.

Also seen Thunder twice in Cambridge, the last time they simply blew me, and everyone else I spoke to, away, simply superb.
