Thank you, thank you, thank you Nightfaery - A bit of sanity returns to the forum.

I'm with you on this one.

Did you just put me and sanity in the same sentence?? Ha, ha, ha!

The way I see it, Heavy Metal is a music genre and in some cases a lifestyle but it's not a religion, never has been and never will be. The two are completely different things and I think Metal Hammer are either trying too hard to please the kids or they're being very silly. You don't need to classify HM as a religion because it's already so special to people anyway. Why try too hard to prove it? Why does it matter? I dunno.

LMFAO I knew you would pick that up - good points in your post.

MH are trying too hard and to my mind Biff doesn't need associating with every silly idea they have.

I would like to second that, Heavy Metal is for people who like Heavy Metal, it has a special place in the hearts of those who appreceate it, it really doesn't matter who or what you are, race, skin color, gender, nationality, religion, political views etc - it is nice though that Biff Byford is becoming more and more recognised these days in the world of Rock.

I do feel too that Metal Hammer is trying too hard to please the kids, but also articles like these are easily a result of lazy journalism (sp?) or desperatly trying to fill up an empty space with something, I was once tempted of purchasing Metal Hammer a while ago, but they had too many things that wasnt really for my taste in music, Classic Rock has more of what I want and less of what I don't want

It disappoints me to see that Biff is associating himself with this sort of rubbish.

This story made it into the Sun newspaper today.

Only a little paragraph, but it mentions Biff and Saxon. When was the last time they made it into the Sun?
