My first concert hey ?
Well that was a long time ago.

Back in the late 60’s I was in some Scout gang shows, but that don’t count

In the mid 1970’s, there was a band called Track 4 who, originated from and played, at our school a few times. They also played at some local venues, lots of Quo and Lizzy stuff, they were great. (They went on to become Trespass and I followed them all over the place, seeing them litterally dozens, if not into the hundreds of times).

I really can't remember if it was before or after my first “big” gig but I just missed out on seeing AC/DC at the (now famous) Colchester Institute Gig, must have been 1977 or 1978, damn.
About the same time, I was into Iron Maiden who were getting a name for playing at the Ruskin Arms, East London. Never made it to the Ruskin Arms, or the Soundhouse with DJ Neal Kaye, but then Maiden played at The Ipswich Regent, in 1978 or 79 and I was there. That is what I call my first (real/big) gig and also Iron Maidens first “big” tour. Excellent.

This was soon followed up with Saxon/Motorhead, more Maiden, Krokus, Quo and lots of Trespass. Then more and more, its 2008 now and I have not had enough yet

Great, great times.
