Helen had her first session of Chemotherapy and has responded very well. Very tired for a few days but no sickness or loss of hair (yet). She even felt well enough to return to work this week. She is nothing if not stubborn Doctors and hospital have all been extremely impressed with her determination, as am I

Hi all,
Just thought I would update.

Helen went for a CT Scan yesterday and has been admitted to hospital. She has a Stable Pulmanory Embolism and a possible Deep Vein Thrombosis in her right calf. She is still in high spirits but will be in hospital for a couple of days, hopefully no more than that

Pulmanory Embolism is what killed my father 3 years ago, his death was sudden and I never knew the he had it until it was too late. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for your wife, keep your hopes up

Im so sorry to hear this, Rick.
But I too think Helen is a woman with a very strong will and that will help her with her recovery, as the strong belief of all of us that all goes well will help.
As always, all the best.
