Default Belfast 6th december 2014

This was my first Saxon gig in over 20 years, I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks so I'm limited to how many gigs I can go to but I am so glad I went.

This was one of the best gigs I've seen in many a year, the band were totally on fire and could show new bands how it's done.

Every single member of the band did their job with ultimate professionalism and Biff's vocals were tremendous, I couldn't believe he was still hitting those notes but I shouldn't really be surprised.

I missed Stormzone and only saw 15 mins of Hell but why was the merch stall still selling Beyond The Black shirts when they weren't playing at any of the Irish shows?

I never got to meet Saxon because I had to get home but hopefully next tour.

Here is the setlist.

Motorcycle Man
Sacrifice
Power and the Glory
Solid Ball of Rock
Witchfinder General
And the Bands Played On
I've Got to Rock (To Stay Alive)
To Hell and Back Again
Strong Arm of the Law
Made in Belfast
Frozen Rainbow
Heavy Metal Thunder
Suzie Hold On
This Town Rocks
The Eagle Has Landed
747 (Strangers in the Night)
Crusader
Princess of the Night

Encore:

Wheels of Steel
Denim and Leather

Nice review.
Saxon in both the limelight\spring and air brake and Mandela hall over the last number of years have been terrific. They hadn't played Belfast for years but in recent times have only miss occasionally when touring. The show was fantastic - a few guys I talked into going who never had seen Saxon or don't really know recent stuff where amazed. As you said they couldn't get over how biff still had the range and was on top form. The whole band have never sounded better live in my opinion.
