Default Theater Romein 6th march 21.00u-23.00u

Sold out show, 550 people nice packed in a little church from the Bagijnerklooster built in 1510 in Leeuwarden on the West terp, the first terp of the three terps that formed the city Leeuwarden
Fantastic show ! super! Good atmosphere..Ambiance is great in such a historic building 18 songs in two hours without Pause. Last time I saw them was in 1991 with GrahamOliver after 23 years I had the privillege to see them again.. and the band has improved 3000%.

Much Thx Saxon! I really enjoyed it ! Come again!
Tracks Saxon played ( Not chronologic..18 at least, maybe I forgot a song..):

Sacrifice
Power and the Glory
Stallions of the highway
Hammer of the gods
I’ve got to rock to stay alive
The bands played on
Sailing to America
Heavy Metal Thunder
Solid ball of Rock
Dallas 1 p.m.
Rock’n roll gypsy
Strong Arm of the Law
Crusader
Wheels of Steel
Princess of the night
747 Strangers in the night
Batallions of Steel
Denim and Leather

And of course my compliments for Theater Romein and Crew that organized the concert in my hometown..its the only theater here that had the gudds to invite a band like Saxon..There was only one thing pitty..the Saxon T-shirt I wanted to buy was not there (anymore), but ok next time new chance isnt it?

Very nice building..it was the first time Saxon played there, and the last time I think i'm afraid, because the theatre will go to another modern built theatre that will open the gates in about one and a half years.. Leeuwarden is in 2018 Cultural Capital of Europe in 2018. I'm looking forward to the 9th of august of this year 2014 Megadeth will play here among other bands on the Into the Grave Leeuwarden Festival on the Olderhoofsterkerkhof where the Oldehove stands http://www.appartementdeklaproos.nl/...e/oldehove.JPG
it used to be an old graveyard : http://www.historischcentrumleeuward...nwoh25_jpg.jpg
Years ago they did an archeologic investigation there and the did find hundred skeletons..you could built a tower from all those bones (..)the place is on the first terp of Leeuwarden (A terp is a little hill, made from shit, even corpses of human beings , old farms, ,clay, waste, bones from cows horses etc..on which people lived about 600 years before christ, to prevent being overflooded by the sea , archeologists find some nice treasures in those terps, things that look like Sutton Hoo long ship grave artefacts, like saxon had that mask on the Killing ground album (Meroving era, )long ship grave artefacts (Has there once lived a Viking king here?? Future will tell.. : http://www.archeoloogindeklas.nl/arc...awijnaldum.jpg and http://www.friesmuseum.nl/sites/defa...s/IMG_7128.JPG

..even the roman writer Tacticus mentioned this place in his books about the Frisii Majores (The frisians were overun by the Saxon hordes (300-525 after christ), in fact after that the Frisians were dead or mixed up with Saxons and Angelen (german tribes)and went to England, When Iwas at the concert of Saxon in Theatre Romein, it gave a mystical feeling that below theater Romein were skelletons too, finally hearing good music after so many times (..)

link for the Into the Grave festival:

Btw: LEEuwarden (the first part originates from Ley-centre,...some of you may have heard of Ley-lines... lots of energy here!)
