The weather was great last year, don't think we will be so lucky this year!

Maiden are excellent live. I think it will just be down to what material they play. If they play a good mix of stuff then you will love it. If they stick to newer stuff then it might be a little less enthralling. Regardless of that, performance and energy wise you will get 100%.

i heard brian talking in superlatives about rufus

Saw Judas Priest at Doncaster dome on Sunday.
Part of their Epitaph tour.
Very dissapointed with Halfords half arsed performance, Very lacklustre and it seemed like he couldn't wait to get off stage and get off home.
Maybe there's something more to their descision to stop touring?
Anyone else seen them lately and agrees/disagrees.
Saxon would blow them out of the water nowadays with no effort at all
(not that i ever thought Priest were better anyhow) .
It should be Priest supporting Saxon and Motorhead in spain.

I'll be seeing them on Saturday. You are not the first person I've heard say that but it's hard to judge because some say he's sounding bad and looks lacklustre and some say they are brilliant!!.

When I watched the DVD part of the British Steel Anniversary Edition last year though, I did feel a lack of energy. It seemed more like a Las Vegas tribute show than a proper gig. I know not everyone will agree but it's just how I felt when I watched it

Ahh! Not just me then (Thought maybe it was coz i'd stayed sober especially for this last tour)
Hope you get a good show out of them when you go.
Keep an eye on the little black gazebo thing to the left of the drummer he keeps disappearing in to during the set and let me know what you think when he does the nostradamus track in that big silver hooded cape (Is it really him in there???)

must admit i have seen them twice since the return of Rob and thought that Rob just seemed to be going through the motions, just pacing up and down. They seem to rely too much on the stage show. The Scorpions blew them off the stage last time i saw them and they had no flash stage show, just lots of energy and most importantly the Scorpions look like they were enjoying themselves too as much as the crowd.
