Default Hail to the Gods the bringers of SAXON!!!!

Hello All

Paul Quinn's Bandana (formerly known as Paul Quinn's Hat) here!!

Hope you are all enjoying the excellent latest album, definitely one of their Top 5!!

Anyway, some brief info:

Lives - Manchester
Age- late 30 something

Saxon debut- bought Destiny on release in 1988 as a kid and thought it was true Saxon and they were meant to sound like Magnum!! AHHHHHH...

Real Saxon debut- Tommy Vance played 747 on the legendary Friday Rock Show in April/May 1990: I realised my mistake and searched 2nd hand record shops everywhere for Wheels of Steel, Strong Arm, Power etc!!

Saxon live debut- Manchester International 2, late 1991 Solid Ball of Rock tour

Best Saxon Gigs- 1992 Stockport charity gig for the NABD or Ritz, Manchester 2013, back to their best and a great crowd too, oh and Holmfirth 2013!!

Saxon claim to fame- when our boys were being slammed unfairly by Kerrang! in August 1990, I defended their honour and had a letter published in K!under my former name (Paul Quinn's Hat), saying they should shut the F** up and respect Biff and the legend Mr Quinn!!

Best album- Wheels of Steel, well it still is!!
Best song(s) - Motorcycle Man/Denim & Leather - still can't decide....

Anyway, that's my Saxon, drop me a line if you like!!

cheers and beers, see you down the front at the Motorhead Manchester Apollo gig!!

Thanks for reading!

PQH

Default Denim and Leather brought us together

Ah Yes ! "Wheels of Steel",my first SAXON album.I was browsing a record store while stationed in Germany 82-83 and saw this cool album cover with some great song titles.Went back to my barracks cranked up those motorcycles on the intro and the rest is history. WELCOME
