Have to admit, I saw Paul Di'Anno in Wacken about 5 yrs ago, and I just couldn't dig it. He started in with all this death metal vocal stuff which just didn't work so well!

IMO.... Kerrrrang have sold out too.....

they have become way too commercial

they promote shitty no good bands to impressionable kids

like in the good old days... (God, now I'm sounding old too...)

Default Dave Brock

Sure looks likes Dave Brock, but if it was I'm sure as a big name guy, he would have had a bit more contrib to the E4 show

Yes - a few of the Hawkwind boys were there at the E4 shenanigan, and were due to be interviewed (the presenter said he would be getting back to them). However, they left before the mike reached them (the recording of the programme lasted from 3.00pm to around 10.00pm).

Cheers,

Goss.

I saw Paul Di'anno a couple of times a few years back, and I have to say he was pretty good.

Wow that was an interesting read.Firstly welcome to the new members.Hope you stick around this a good friendly forum.

Right down to the program. As most of know i can be critical of Saxon from time to time(don't get me started on THAT album).Did Harvey do a good job? Its hard to say weather Saxon being on Channel 4 or Harvey created the interest.
He did some good without a doubt and at times Biff made himself look like a grumpy old bastard who could do nothing but say fuck off Harvey and make crass metal signs(these are the views of netural workmates).
Biff said that Spanish festival was its first year so it was not that well attended.10 Alps also filmed them in front of thirty odd thousand people but chose to leave this out. Thus making Harvey look like he has done a great job.

I shall return with more comments over the weekend.I WAS at Sheffield and i WAs at the E4 thing so i can speak a little bit of authoriaty on this(i hope i didnt just sound to pompus)

WILKS.
