Post SAXON at Blondies Detroit 2011

You ever go to any show, take pictures and think they are great. Well mine weren't that good so I'll put a few up ok. They rest are for me to wonder why people put their hands in the way lol. Since I'm not computer savy as well as I would like to beI included pictures of the Merchandise being sold, no xxls, Lastv8, Torben. I hope they are good enough for the Forum.

Lastv8 mentioned that at Detroit there were 200 people. I thought there was at least 800. It doesn't matter who is right. I think the band was happy. Lastv8 is one cool dude to party with. His passion for Saxon is as high as anyone. I hope I made a life long friend.

Marty, it was nice to meet you and your twin. I liked all the saxon gear you had on. one could tell how big of a fan you are by just looking at you. it sure sucked that they didn’t have any 2XL t-shirts for sale at the show. who would have imagined that? my brother and I rolled back in cincinnati around five in the morning, so was a long day. the only two songs I wish they would have added is, live fast die young, and sailing to america Maybe next time we can ride to the show together. If you ever want to talk give me a call my friend. V8

It's was a blast. For me it's been since 1998 in Columbus since I saw them. Since we stood in front of Doug Scarrott weren't you impressed how hard he worked the crowd, and just how awesome his playing was. I have the highest respect for him. Poor Nibbs, he had to stand behind a two foot pillar. Wasn't fair at all.
We got home at 5 o'clock too. I don't have your phone #. Please resend Tim.I wonder if anyone has ever figured out if Saxon would play every favorite song they ever recorded it would take 24 hours to play them maybe.

In all honesty Borealis wasn't that great and not the same music type as Saxon.

Call To Arms is one CD meant to be played live. Once "Mists of Avalon" was done, the people was the loudest showing support for that great song. I've got the setlist from the show. Wasn't Torben one cool dude. I had always heard that but they were understated. He worked those sound boards great.

The people there at the gig were rockin all night. I guess thats why they call it Detroit Rock City. Lot's of music history there for music in General and for Saxon too. Those people knew every word to every song- even CTA.

PICTURE is of Nibbs coming out from behind that sorry Pillar. He was a good sport about it.
