I also have a ticket stub for another Manchester gig see below:

March 22, ? early 90's I think: Manchester International 2 (Can't remember support) Ticket 5.50 - Nibbs was definitely in the band then, maybe first tour?
I'm not 100% certain but I think the support for the 1985 dates may have been a Danish band called 'Pretty Maids', my memory isn't great but I know I saw them supporting one of the bands I saw around that time, if memory serves it was at Sheffield City Hall, I really need to recharge the batteries, also Nibbs brother John works with me, maybe I should ask him.

Didn't Saxon support Rainbow on the show featured on 'Live between the eyes'? I have that on VHS somewhere but haven't watched it for years, I might dig it out, as far as I recall it was in San Antonio, I'm curious as to who you saw Saxon with in March 1984, possibly the Scorpions???? Just a guess.

Just out of interest in between the first two set of dates you posted they must have been busy, they played Grimsby Central Hall as part of a tour in April 1980, believe it or not we had Iron Maiden, Def Leppard and Saxon playing locally within the space of a a few weeks and the tickets were about 1.75! The sounds archives looks like a good source of info, Kerrang! didn't exist until about mid 1981.

ok...it was many many moons...lol ..but I think .. it was Feb/Mar 1980 . I saw Saxon defintley supported by both Limelight & Magnum at Newcastle City Hall.

It was loud...

...and yes.. I too .. saw them later that year .. and i'm sure it was Denim & Leather .. and on that occasion supported by the Tygers of Pan Tang...again at Newcastle City Hall

The 82 tour the lineup here in Dallas,Texas was Riot opening Saxon 2nd and Rainbow headlining. That 84 show was probably with Accept,at least thats who I seen Saxon with in 84 here in Dallas,it was at the Bronco Bowl.I would have to look at my ticket stub to check the date and all the info.I have most of my tickets scanned except for a few of the recent shows.

here is the stub from the 84 show in the upper right hand corner. You can't see Accept on it in this scan.I can't find my original scans. All my stubs are in my storage and I will eventually have to rescan them all.
