Thumbs up

Yes I´ve read it yesterday. Hope it will happen this time.
And I think we will get a Saxon Headline Tour as well, soon, as they will have an new album this year.

Sorry, i can not understand this.
Why is Saxon always going supporting this overrated Band?
Better a headliner-tour in smaller venues than this...
A lot of Motorhead fans do not love Saxon so the commercial
reason is not given, or?
I will not see them at any of these dates.
Okay, i know it does not matter
But must be said from my side

See ya on the road, hmthunder

At the same time, how often do you get to see 3 true metal legends in one night.
Have no issues with Saxon being guests with Girlschool and Motorhead.
I was brought up on this type of music and would love to get the opportunity to see them all together live.
As with AC/DC, these guys n girls are not getting any younger and it can only be a matter of time before they call it a day or go their separate ways.

Any chance to see Saxon live and I'll take it. Be it headline opening or guest support

In total agreement with the MG, whilst I would obviously prefer Saxon to be the headliners, I would be more than happy if they announce UK dates for this tour.

Why they do this...
I think they probably do it because of the fun on the road with theese bands.
Actually I would prefere to see them with Priest instead of Motörhead, and the most headline of course.
But I too want to see them as often as possible before they retire, what hopefully won´t happen that soon.

I find your opinion of Motörhead fans not loving Saxon to be a very sweeping and unfair statement. I'm a Motörhead fan and I'm deeply commited to Saxon, as are many other MH fans who love Metal as a whole. In fact, this tour lineup has been met with high praise as many fans are overjoyed to be getting three great bands with long histories and grest musical catalogues in one place. Saxon also get to play in bigger venues with better sound and share their great music with more people, something that they are often unjustly deprived of when playing shows on their own as headliners. And also the strong friendship that MH and Saxon have formed over the years is a big factor in the lineup choices for this tour, and as this is Motörhead's 40th anniversary tour only the best bands will do.

I'm really looking into making this tour, as it'll be my first Saxon show ever and my third MH show since Hammersmith in 2009. Roll on winter!

Absolutely agree with this last post Sir L'heart ;-) I am a huge MH and Saxon fan. The two bands have shared similar fortunes over the years and also both bands recent output has been very strong indeed. When the sun sets on both MH and Saxon careers people will realise the sheer quality and consistency of albums compared to other greats of heavy metal. I digress slightly but in this day and age with the music industry being as shit as it is I think strength in numbers is the way forward and the pull of MH and Saxon together is hard to resist for many hm fans...providing Lem is still fighting fit by then :-\
