Much thx caflyergirl.. first I thought Pete Gill, because of his health situation, i read something on this site,....That's very kind of mr. Glockler a real gentleman to do it on such an event...I wish for them both lots of strength and health..I was already worried..

I did rember the song Absent Friends from the super album Unleash the Beast....and the lyric part was: to absent friends,,..this ones for you,..so I thought somebody had died..

No, it was a very good thing if you see this as some special/extra-
show for this only, but i hope they have not the idea to do any
same in nov14 when they do their german gigs
Strung up was okay,
Wacken with this was okay, but that's enough -
Rock is their life !!!

This are the words I say, too, hmthunder.

Wacken 2014, well that was a surprise with the orchestral, don't no how they kept that one a secret, I enjoyed it, it was different and unexpected, the set looked well cool, thumbs up to the designer for that one, out the
orchestral set I think for me crusader, Eagle, and princess was my favs.

Think the orchestral as the one off was enjoyed, but I wouldn't want it as a regular thing, but I was well pleased they did it, nice one saxon ye guys pulled it of.

Just watching the performance now. Crusader sounds fucking epic. Coincidentally I was playing Strung Up in the car today for the first time in a while and singing along to it then too. Loving it. I wonder if Bloodstock will get any orchestral gems?

Absolutely BRILLIANT performance.
I hope Saxon will bring out this on blu ray, together with Steeltown Festival 2013.

Hats of, I am blown away, such a special classic show Saxon put on.

I don't think you automatically put in more feeling in a lyric just because you wrote it. If the lyric is touching to you, you probably sing it with a feeling no matter what. And a good singer, a good performer, is able to perform with a feeling that touches people no matter who wrote the words he/she sings. That's what defines a professional.

Regarding Udo. The lyrics from his era with Accept were pretty much written by Wolf Hoffman's wife (signature Deaffy), while I, if I'm not wrong, the lyrics to the new songs are written by the new singer.
