Default Poll! 80's Saxon v 90's Saxon v 00's Saxon

Strictly speaking Saxon's first album was 70's, but I will be practical. So what is your favourite Saxon decade.

For me it is the 00's. Saxon haven't put a foot wrong from Killing Ground onwards.

For ambience (age, style, freshness, excitement, anticipation) is should be the 80's. But for sheer class it has to be the current form, which I assume you mean the 00's ?

Having been a Saxon follower from day one I have to say it is impossible for me to even choose a favourite song, never mind a favourite decade.
Every song and album has a memory attached be it good or bad from whatever was going on in my life at the time.
Saxon is Saxon and which ever song is played I love them all .

Had to go for the 80's just on the back of all the fun we had in the early days. Adopting Nigel on the Denim Tour, fan club trips to Nijmagen and Amsterdam. And what class support acts, Lautrec, Roudness, Cheetah to name but three.
Then of course there was Chops on the lights, the AC/DC mortars on the Denim tour (will never forget Biff cacking himself when they went off at Bingley) and without doubt the true legend that was JJ.

I would go the 80's first, then the 00's. and the 90's last.

I listen to the first four albums again and again.
Sacirfice is very very good and I think the best line up and life performance is now, but if you had asked me to compare between then and now in the 80th, may be I would have said the 80th.
Even the 90th, when I made a break with going to gigs and did not listen so much to their music, because of my son, contain some of my favourite songs on the Dogs Of War and Metalhead albums and Solid Ball Of Rock is a Cracker anyway.

I´m not abel to make a decision.

I'd say now (last two albums) and the early 80's were the best.

"AC/DC mortars" - What was that about?
