Default New Song

I came here looking for reactions/discussions to the new Saxon song. A video for the title track from their forthcoming album, 'Thunderbolt', was released earlier today. I can't believe no one has posted this here yet. So here you go:

Thumbs up

Well, the song isn't breaking any new ground or anything. Its what you would expect. Good old school Saxon riffing... a heads down headbanger of a track.
It's a thumbs up from me

I like it and didn't expect otherwise.
I wonder if there is going to be a deluxe version of the album as well.
With most of their recent albums there was.
A special edition boxset is mentioned, but I don't know what that includes.. I expect that one is with a t-shirt, poster, vinyl etc.

I'm disappointed to have to say this, but I was really unimpressed with the new song. Doesn't bode well for the new album - out today, I believe? Sorry guys, but I don't think this is up there with the best stuff, old or new. I know a lot of people will disagree, but this is just my opinion.

Good intro and opening title track, this will be how the shows will start I guess. I also like the Motorhead track and "Sons of Odin" and "The Secret of Flight".

Had my saxon ultimate pledge package yesterday album and cd only signed by four members which is a pisser as it should be fully signed really. Anyway first spin already heard Thunderbolt and They played rock n roll when the videos were release a few weeks back i like both but think Nibbs did a cracking job on the latter as it could have come off strong arm of the law lp really earthy. I was a bit surprised hearing the others like secret of flight ,sons of odin, sniper ,predator all great compositions razor sharp riffs sounding great, Biff always works hard on the lyrics and is as unique as ever, its all well crafted so a thumbs up from me great stuff guys.

Nigel could not make the signing session as his flight was cancelled,if you take your package to any gig on the current tour he will gladly sign it for you.
