Gear Question

I'm a guitarist and really love the tone that Paul and Doug get from their guitars. It's totally crunchy and yet very clear and each note is distinct from every other note. I'm curious about their gear - what pickups are they using, what effects, etc.

Does anyone here have any knowledge or know if this information is posted anywhere?

no idea, i know doug is quite partial to emgs, up until recently ive known theyve used laneys and engls, but they appear to have a new set up since they used to use laney cabs, but now theyve got marshalls

I went back and looked at the DVD and Doug is playing a Valley Arts Strat ( and your right ) with EMG's in it. Paul is playing a Fernandes Revolver and he thanks Seymour Duncan in his thank you section. I emailed them, and am going to post of their forum and see if I can find out which pickups Paul uses.

paul currently uses a musicman axxis most of the time, a few years ago doug used a red peavey wolfgang most of the time, it sometimes makes a return.

Also they use les pauls sometimes
