Does anybody know something about two tracks from '80s sung by Biff called The Answer is You and Trapped? I just know they exist, but nothing about band and year...
Thanks

Hi - yes, I have these tracks on a CD called "All Stars" which, as far as I can remember, was released in the early 90s. I haven't listened to the album for years, but it features a number of luminaries from the NWOBHM scene, and I think that Nigel Glockler also appears. I've just checked for the album on Amazon and (as I write) there are 11 "new and used" available from £2.22. (It's listed as N.W.O.B.H.M. All Stars by Various Artists).

Hope this is of some help.

Regards

Hi,
thanks! Do you know who organised that, wrote tracks, played and which purpose had that release? Is it nice or just a die hard fan stuff?
Hope to not bother you!

No problem, I've just dug out the CD - the list of musicians includes Biff, Nige and Nibbs along with the likes of Don Airey, Dennis Stratton (ex of Iron Maiden), Neil Murray, Paul Samson, Paul Dianno "and many more". It was produced by Lea Hart and Chris O'Shaugnessy, and released in 1991 by West Coast Productions Ltd. Musically, as you might expect given the musicians involved, it's very NWOBHM, but I wouldn't like to say whether it's any good...I'd rather leave that up to the listener to decide! (Although the fact that I listen to Saxon all the time and haven't listened to this for years may indicate that personally I'm not that keen, although I'm sure that there are other people on here who do like it).

I don't know the reason for the album - I would guess that it was either some sort of contractual thing (unlikely), or more likely that it was meant to raise the profile of the bands and individuals involved.

Hope this helps!

I have that album on vinal. I would not reccomend it myself, as its more a hard rock album than heavy metal. The only song i liked was the Samson song. The 2 tracks Biff sings vocals on are rock ballads. But if you like that sort of thing then mabey you will like it???

To be honest I have a suspicion: I think that album isn't something suitable to me...but I'm curious...

I have this one, and I also have another called True Brits. I can't find the cover for it at the moment. I did a scan and sent to Nigel for his site a few years ago.

I have the All Stars CD featuring Biff and many others, not listened to it for a very long while which probably speaks for itself.
.
I also have another "Tribute To Saxon" which is also fairly forgettable :(. It features various bands, most of which I had never heard of.

Well, mabye. You could have a 'shitfull' of something or a 'shitload' of something (a lot of something).
Otherwise the expression would be 'Full Of Shit' (which means you are talking a load of crap) :D
