I will check out the riff when back home with faster connection
I have to say that Batallions of Steel is my all time number one track
I think strengthened by the hyper impressive performance at the Manchester and Wolves gigs
I cant stop spinning that track
Its tattood on my eardrums

Hey Curry, when I first heard this, I wrote in the comments( I listened to it about 10 times straight) that this was the best song I ever heard, and it just happened to be a Saxon song. Every once in a while a song comes out, one for the ages one that sets the standards so high all other bands can only hope to get so lucky.

Battalions of Steel is so great a song. I an emailing every radio station I can, trying to get them to play this song. Most stations need that 3 minute song. It's always been that way. Well they are playing it and it sounds so good .

Well done Marty, I quite agree and brilliant you emailed all the radio stations, I firmly believe this track is a total winner, it has the power to appeal to all taste's I really believe if the radio stations got hold of this is would leap up the charts.....with abit of luck will blow away the total shite churned out by crap like McFly etc....then we can all start to enjoy good rock music again on basic everyday radio.

In fact I have just followed your excellent lead Marty and e-mailed Rock Radio in Manchester with a plug for Batallions of Steel and Saxon in general.
