The afternoon DJ on the metal radio station in Phoenix has a bit he does every day at 4:20 where he plays all his voice messages and comments on them.
People call in and say all kinds of stuff, request songs, tell jokes, whatever.
So I called in and asked him to play some stuff off the new SAXON CD. I told him it rocks. He loves Maiden, so I think he'd dig Inner Sanctum.
From the tone of his voice, he obviously recognized our boys, and said: "SAXON? They have a new album out? I didn't even know they were a band anymore!"
It was cool that he played the msg. on the air, and at least got SAXON's name out, and let people know there's a new CD.
Today I followed up with an email to the DJ, and included two clips from the website, "Let Me Feel Your Power," and "Going Nowhere Fast."
Hopefully he'll take a listen, and the Program Director will throw them on the playlist.
