Do yourselves a favour and check out the mighty Budgie performing Panzer Division Destroyed last week in Poland - one of the best bands of all time, I GUARANTEE IT WILL BLOW YOUR FRIGGIN MIND:D

Last time I saw them about 2 years ago I was right at front of the stage standing right in front of the guitarist Simon Lees - MINDBLOWING!!!!

None of youse like Budgie then hahahahahaha!.

The mighty Budgie could show all these new so-called rock bands a thing or two - I'm telling youse I still canny understand for the life of my why Budgie aren't massive cos in my opinion THEY ARE RIGHT UP THERE WITH THE LIKES OF SABBATH, PRIEST AND AC/DC etc.

LOL it doesn't surprise me that you don't like them Emperor Valanx, even after all these years, you still have crap taste in music. You dont like Diamond Head, AngelWitch or even Budgie now - WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU MAN:p

Actually when I said they are right up there with Priest, I really meant to say that THE MIGHTY BUDGIE ARE AT LEAST 50 THOUSAND TIMES BETTER THAN PRIEST:D . Just you wait till some other folk have a wee looky at the link, then everyone will come out and agree with me:D

They are really one of my favourites bands, too!!
I prefer their first albums (the ones from the 70's), but I'd love to see them. It's a pity they had never played in Spain.
A couple of years ago my brother was living in Wales and I sent him (oblied him to go ;)) to a Budgie gig and he brought me some T-shirts and even a photo Burke Shelley had given him for me, signed by all the group (Dedicated to a bar, a heavy one, 'Malavida', I have here in Valladolid: 'Malavida rules OK'). A pretty touch!
A really underrated band, great to see more Budgie fans here!

Wow thats great Edumalavida, its good to know that I'm not the only Budgie fan on the Saxon forum lol!!!! Yeah Budgie are totally magnficient, in fact they are my joint favourite band of all time along with the mighty Rush. I've seen Budgie about 7 times, every time they rocked hard and fast and were deadly. They were supposed to play here last September but it was cancelled about a week before and I was TOTALLY DEVASTATED!!!! They usually play Sep/October, so hopefully they will come back to Glasgow and I'll see them again. They are so MINDBLOWING LIVE I cannot even find the words to describe how tremendous they are. I Turned to Stone, Guts, Crash Course in Brain Surgery, Homicidal Suicidal, Napoleon, Nude Disintegrating PArachutist woman etc., they are my favs but I love all the Budgie songs.

I dunno princeless, im sorry if im having trouble here, but that statement doesnt really scream 50 thousand times better than PRIEST to me!! As The Mighty Metal God Halford himself once said....."The only Scream is here"......

Great stuff Bec - its fantastic that there seems to be a few Budgie fans on this forum now. Wait till you see them live - totally immense so they are - just fookin AWESOME. Last time I saw them they were simply stunning and that was my 3rd fav concert of all time.

I tend to find that anyone whose a Saxon fan, is also a Rush fan and is also a Budgie fan - so it seems to me that you are the odd one out Valanx - OR MAYBE YOUR JUST PLAIN FRIGGIN ODD:p !!!!!!.

That's weird you should mention your pet budgies cos I was only thinking this morning about the message you posted a wee while ago on the old forum about one of your budgie's dying and you buried him in the forest (I think it was a forest).

You are like Valanx then Saxonator, you have no taste at all, BUDGIE RULE SUPREME, you must download some other songs like Crash Course in Brain Surgery or Guts or Napoleon Bonaparte, give them a wee blast and see if it rocks your boat then - I'm sure it will. Apart from the mighty Saxon, what other bands are you into?

so iŽll download them - thx 4 a hint which songs to choose. are the tunes you mentioned their "best of" ?

and i am not listening to any other bands. are there any other bands ? :D

i still have to try out joe satriani and ian gillian as i promised a good friend to have a listen to. but the small spare time which i have at the moment belongs to the band which needs no introduction.

On Alice Coopers show on Planetrock today, he mentioned a poll that was carried out called 'secret pleasures'. It was about bands that people liked but wouldn't admit to! Rush were number one!
